Aginst All Odds: Chapter 2

I ran towards the guard tower as I fixed the supressor on my rifle. I quickly ran up the stairs, let the two guards in and closed and bolted the door. I opened the window and looked around, several soldeirs with L85's were pillaging the armory. I adjusted my scope, aimed it towards a soldier polishing his recently aqquired M9, and fired. A quiet puff sound came out of my supressor as the soldier fell. They barely knew what was happening and I quickly aqquired targets. Its a good thing my dad took me to the range every weekend. As that thought went through my mind, I rememberd the day I got the notice that my dad had died in combat...No time for drifting away. The two security guards were firing there glocks at the soldiers who had now figured out where we were. There were only about 5 left now. They were all rushing towards the guard tower in one group. I picked one off as the leader ran up the stairs. They started to break in the door window. I quickly crawled towards
the door, and they slammed the but of their M3 Bennelli shotgun into the door window and fired
several times. When the shotgunner stared to reload, I tossed a frag grenade out. I dove across the room and suddenly, a sound pierced the shouting. I couldn't hear anything over the ringing of my ears, but as I began to hear again, I noticed there wasn't any more shouting. The frag had worked. I gave a big sigh, but As I turned around, I saw blood, lots of it. The two guards had been hit by the shotgun blasts, and you don't want know what it looked like on the stairs.

I went back down to the armory and got all the supplies I needed including camouflage, and
loaded them into the Hummer. I saw a radio on my second trip, picked it up, switched it to the
frequency for military use ( which I got from a list that was in a desk) and said " I am at the National Guard Armory in Fort Worth Texas, I have just survived a attack, if anyone can hear me, we could probably use this as a small base against the oncoming attacks.". I waited for about five minutes, but there was no response. I gathered up some more weapons and checked the soldiers for and goods they might have. I noticed one had a German patch on his uniform. This couldn't be good. Just then, I heard a vehicle coming. I quickly dashed for cover under the Hummer. I watched as it slowly pulled in. I saw four feet climb out of what looked like a jeep. It had U.S markings, thank goodness. I quickly slid out from under the vehicle. One of them heard me and quickly turned around and pointed a weapon at me and shouted " Hands up!". I quickly complied and said " Don't shoot! I am an American!". He didn't look convinced, so he asked "Sing the national anthem!". I quickly started singing, and when he noticed I had no weapon he said " You can't be too careful in times like these. I am Sgt. Timothius Danford of the U.S Marine Corps. and this is PFC. Patrick Oritiz. We heard your distress call, and we're here to help"

Its the year 2028, and America has severed relations with all foreign countries and has become

a dictatorship under Empress H. R. Clintos. After her " election " 20 years ago, she declared

herself commander and chief permanently. A few months later, she dissolved the house and

senate.

There had been rumors of war with Europe because of us leaving NATO and the UN and pulling

out of Iraq during a phase of chaos.

Then, it happened.

I woke up to gunfire, explosions, and bright lights. I knew this day would come. I looked out my

window to see hundreds of soldiers clearing buildings, with rifles and grenades flashing. Thanks

to our dictator, all firearms were now illegal. Luckily, I had managed to keep a small .22 target

rifle and a kabar fighting knife by buying off the officers who had searched my home. I grabbed

them and and all the ammo I had and ran outside. A soldier wearing all black in body army was

on my porch, it was the British SAS, the highly trained urban soldiers. I slammed the stock of

my rifle in to his head, rendering him unconscious. I new I couldn't survive with all these men

running around, so I sprinted over to my jeep and sped off.

Sweat was stinging my eyes, as my heart beat pounded in my ears. I searched my mind for what

to do, then it came to me. The National Guard armory! I quickly loaded the name into my GPS

and pushed the pedal to the metal. I arrived fifteen minutes later. There were only two men

there, who were hired as security guards from a local company. They spoke English, but it was

hardy understandable. Probably Hispanic. I quickly tried to tell them what was happening, but

they were completely oblivious to the attack! They were only armed with Glocks, but that's what

the armory

was for. Then suddenly, I heard the roar of a Hummer, They were coming.

The two security guards and I quickly ran to the armory and grabbed the keys from the security

guard who's name tag said Manuel. I was right about their nationality. I quickly ran into the

armory. It was like a heaven for me, guns racked everywhere, no time for drooling though. I

quickly grabbed three vests of body armor and threw two of them to the security guards and

put one on myself. I heard shouting from out side. I told the guards to arm themselves. I

grabbed a M4A1 and a suppressor along with as many magazines as the MOLLE pouches on the

vest could hold. I also grabbed a ACOG scope. I asked the guards if there was a bunker of sorts.

The shouting was getting louder, I saw a guard tower towards the back of the yard outside of the

armory. I grabbed several frag grenades as I ran towards the tower....

* If this gets good feedback I will make more where there is more of a plotline and people talk.
